GOMBAK, 30 October 2022: IIUM announced that arrangements would be made to resume academic activities from 22 (Tuesday) to 25 (Friday) November 2022 using online or face-to-face teaching modes.
The leave allows eligible students to perform their civic duty for the nation to vote in the 15th General Election (GE15).
“This is following the instruction of the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MoHE) to grant special leave to students in higher learning institutions (IPTA), including IIUM, from 17 until 21 November 2022.
“However, the mid-semester break will still be maintained according to the IIUM Academic Calendar for Semester I, 2022/2023,” the statement said.
The statement also mentioned that the decision was made on 28 October (Friday) in the 493rd Senate after all parties’ prior arrangements with the current IIUM Academic Calendar were considered. ***
