GOMBAK, 18 August 2022: Identical twins Putri Jasmine Binti Roslan and Putri Juliana Binti Roslan are proud to make it into the 37th IIUM Convocation Ceremony despite an almost one-year delay.
Graduating with the same degree from Kulliyyah of Information and Communication Technology, but in different majors, the Information Technology Department and Computer Science Department, that marked a slight difference.
Growing up idealising the professions of their family in Information Technology (IT), the twins are glad to have the same interest in the same field as they admit their family, especially their parents, are role models in completing this journey.
Following their family’s footsteps, the twins also want to compete healthily with each other as they want to be better from time to time, without forgetting to support one another.
In an interview with IIUMToday, Juliana said, “Sometimes, twins are always being compared. To overcome it, we try to achieve the highest between us, and that’s how we manage to compete with each other.”
The twins cannot deny the difficulty of the courses they majored in as they were also human beings, but it is not an excuse for them not to earn the scroll.
Meanwhile, Jasmine added, “Once you enroled the course, you can’t simply choose any course that you like, but to complete the degree with honours. You need to be open-minded and learn the knowledge sincerely.”
The twins concluded the interview session with advice to undergraduates struggling on the journey not to give up, as they believe the sun will shine after the storm and surely there is a solution for every problem. ***
