Vietnam SEA Games: Tze Liang contributes third gold for Malaysia

HANOI, 9 May 2022: Ooi Tze Liang clinched third gold medal for Malaysia in diving at the Hanoi SEA Games after winning the men’s 1m springboard individual final at My Dinh Aquatic Centre.

It is the second gold medal for the Penang-born diver who partnered Chew Yiwei to win the men’s 3m springboard synchro event on Sunday (May 8).

In the competition, the national duo managed to collect 395.79 points in six dives to overcome the host pair, Nguyen Tung Duong-Phuong The Anh who won the silver medal with 305.64 points.

There were no bronze medalists as only two countries competed in the event.
