KUALA LUMPUR, 27 February 2022: Eleven Malaysians and a Singaporean have been evacuated from Kyiv and have arrived in Poland, Foreign Minister, Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah said today.
In a Facebook post this morning as quoted by the press, he said the group led by the interim Charge d’Affairs of the Malaysian Embassy in Ukraine, Fadhilah Daud, arrived safely at Korczowa-Krakovets, a town on the border between Ukraine and Poland.
He said the convoy arrived at 5.45 am (Malaysian time) and was met by two officials from the Malaysian Embassy in Poland and were headed to the capital city of Warsaw.
The group included two dependents of the Malaysian diplomats.
He said, œThey are expected to arrive in Kuala Lumpur soon.” ***
