GOMBAK 18 July 2014 : A number of awards were presented during the Quality Day 2014 today in recognition of excellent and outstanding performances by the academic and the administrative staffs as well as centres and Kulliyyahs of the university.
The awards were under the following categories: IIUM Quality Research Award, Outstanding Research Award, Promising Researcher Award, Best Teacher Award, Highest Citation in Citation Index Journal Awards, Ismail Al’ Faruqi Publication Award, Quality Administrative Staff Award, Best Sports Team and Best Sports Individuals, Best Mahallah Award, Quality Customer Service Award, Quality Agency Award (Non-Academic and Academic).
Held at the Cultural Activity Centre ( CAC ), IIUM, the Quality Day 2014 was attended by IIUM President, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama Dr. Rais Yatim, the Rector, Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Zaleha Kamaruddin, and all IIUM Deputy Rectors.
Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama Dr. Rais Yatim gave away the awards. In his speech, the President emphasised for IIUM to continue to strive its best to achieve the rank of the most prestigious Islamic Study and Research Centre both in Malaysia and in the eyes of the world.
In addition, the Rector presented IIUM’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI) where in her speech she called on all staffs of IIUM to be aware of the crucial points that would continue to make IIUM one of the best Islamic academic institutions.
The Quality Day is an annual programme of the university to recognise outstanding achievements and performances of the staffs as well as centres and Kulliyyahs throughout the year.
