GOMBAK, 4 October 2021: A good opportunity was promised to the students who joined the uniform body, Siswa Siswi Pertahanan Awam (SISPA) IIUM, as members get a chance to pursue their services under the Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia (APM) upon graduation.
SISPA IIUM serves as a medium for students to explore new skills especially in the field of ensuring the publics safety and volunteering works.
Students are able to get firsthand experience to learn about first aid, fire fighting, search and rescue, handling the venomous animals, ascending and descending, survival skill, rope rescue, fire drill, scuba, water confidence, land navigation, and medic.
Previously, a few selected members of Kor SISPA IIUM were called upon to serve as the front liners in the Gombak campus. Hence, the students were able to apply the newly learned skills while serving as front liners.
In giving three years of their study to complete all the compulsory courses, the members will be awarded with the position as Young Lieutenant and can continue using it while under the service with APM.
Students can also make use of this opportunity to work under APM while waiting for their dream job to avoid any time being wasted once they finished their studies.
Kor SISPA IIUM is currently opening up opportunities for students who are eligible to join the uniform body by filling in the registration form.
For more information, students can follow their social media account available on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube at SISPA IIUM. ***
