New guidelines on outing procedure for IIUM students

GOMBAK, 15 September 2021: Students are subjected to a new guideline pertaining to their outings beginning 16 September 2021, according to the IIUM official guidelines for campus reopening 01/2021 (section 9) issued recently.  

Following the announcement by the IIUM Sejahtera Council, students are required to adhere to the procedures by following the SOPs strictly and to always be sensible of the risk of infection outside the campus. 

The outing procedures require students to install the MySejahtera application on their smartphone, display their matriculation card together with their MySejahtera profile to IIUM authorities and scan the QR code provided. 

Apart from that, students are allowed for outing from 8.00 a.m to 10.00 p.m only and they are required to leave and return to the campus on the same day. 

For Gombak campus, students are allowed to leave the campus through Gate 2 only. Meanwhile, students of Kuantan and Pagoh campuses are allowed to leave campus through the main gate.

Only students who have completed vaccination are allowed to go out for outing. Therefore, on-campus students who are unvaccinated or are yet to receive complete doses of vaccine are strictly not allowed to go out for outing.

All students are strongly required to practise physical distancing and observe good hygiene etiquette at all times. 

They are accountable for their own safety and health throughout their absence from campus, according to the Office of the Deputy Rector (Student Development & Community Engagement). ***
