GOMBAK, 28 August 2021: As the 64th Malaysia National Day draws near, the Media and Communication Committee under Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS) has come up with a small initiative.
The main objective is to highlight the scholars’ view on important events locally and also globally.
Moreover, this initiative will also help the Kulliyyah to be more visible both to the internal and external community.
One of the initiatives is inspiring quotes made by the lecturers from KIRKHS in a form of graphics. This initiative will continue henceforth.
Each quote will be in different categories such as quotes on Independence and sejahtera citizen, Independence and unity, Independence and prihatin, and sustaining Independence.
As a starting point, four academics will be involved in making the quotes and there will be more people who will come afterwards.
These lecturers are Prof. Dr. Shukran Abd Rahman, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aini Maznina A. Manaf, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohd Noh Abdul Jalil, and lastly, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haslina Ibrahim.
These quotes will be shared on social media mainly via Kulliyyah’s official Facebook, IIUM.fm Facebook, as well as the IIUM official website in conjunction with Merdeka Day.
In addition, several other initiatives will be planned in the near future.***
