GOMBAK: Five food outlets in International Islamic University Malaysia have obtained the Halal Certification from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) recently.
Five of the companies are Zahrah binti Hashim Enterprise, Zull’s Fruit Enterprise, Deen Usaha Jaya, The Nile Middle East Food (M) Sdn. Bhd., and Nur Fresh Enterprise.
The Halal Certification Project is part of IIUM’s continuous improvement of food services within the university. Since its initiation in May 2013, the project has ensured that the food served are safe and halal in accordance with the Islamic principles.
In order to support Syariah-Based Quality Management System in IIUM, this project will be extended to all food outlets in Gombak campus, focusing on mahallah cafeterias.
