GOMBAK, 7 May 2021: Lex Festive 2021 held from today until Sunday (9 May) is intended to instil the spirit of ukhuwah among the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) community.
Established during the previous tenure, the Aikol Syuro Council (ASC) hoped through this programme, to strengthen the bonds between societies under ASC namely IIUM Lawsoc, IIUM Alsa, IIUM Legal Aid Club, IIUM Moots and Client Consultation Club, Mylig and AikolPress.
The programme is organised with the nature of community-friendly focusing on the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) plan as the theme which encourages participation among the communities in AIKOL.
“Aside from instilling the spirit of ukhuwah, we hope this programme will produce holistic students who will excel in both academic and non-academic fields,” Lex Festive executive manager, Muhammad Lutfil Hadi Bin Mohd Sabri told IIUMToday.
Muhammad Lutfil added, “The students may use our programme as a platform to develop their soft skills through involvement either as organising committees or participants.”
With Lex Festive 2021, Lawsoc and ASC expected to further take the bonding between the societies on another level.
The main events of Lex Festive 2021 include 5th series Prof. Ahmad Ibrahim Forum, Curriculum Vitae (CV) and Interview Workshop, The Art of Advocacy: Mooting and Client Consultation Demonstration, 45 Minutes with Murabbi, and AIKOL Appreciation Day.
The three-day programme is conducted by IIUM Law Students Society (Lawsoc) in collaboration with the ASC.
