GOMBAK, 17 March 2021: Since the upcoming campus election is just around the corner, the Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences Students Society (IRKHSSS) Academic and Intellectual Council is conducting a forum to give insight regarding the practice of democracy where students will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and tips on how to contribute their role in a more effective way.
The forum with the title œIIUM Student Union Election: An Apex of Campus Democracy, (IRKHSSS), will be held on Friday, 19 March from 9.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. through Facebook live on IRKHSSS Facebook Page.
Among the panelists featured in the forum are Deputy Dean of Student Development and Community Engagement (KIRKHS), Dr. Mohd Noh, Officer of Welfare and International Affairs, IIUM Student Union, Zamzamil Amin, and President of Indonesian Student Association (PPI-IIUM), Rachel Noorajavi.
This forum is expected to be an eye-opener to all students as the objectives of the talk include promoting and propagating the spirit of democracy among KIRKHS students, enhancing student empowerment in critical discourse, educating KIRKHS students on the importance of voting in a campus election, and providing knowledge and insights on IIUM Student Union Election to KIRKHS students.
According to the announcement, all students are welcomed to join this forum as this is the opportunity to clear all doubts regarding campus democracy ecosystem and also to understand the bigger picture of the voting system.
