GOMBAK, 26 December 2020: Malaysia today recorded the highest number of daily cases of COVID-19 with 2,335 new cases in which 11 are imported whereas 2,324 are local cases,
Meanwhile, 874 recoveries were recorded bringing the total recovery cases to 83,414, according to Director-General of Health Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah.
Presently, there are 20,035 active cases with 11 new clusters being reported today, which are Sebambu Cluster, Sungai Redan Cluster, Jalan Asam Cluster, Pagar Bentong Cluster, Seragam Chepa Cluster, Sentosa Residensi Cluster, Lis Putih Cluster, Halban Cluster, Plastik Subang Cluster, Pagar Siput Cluster and Tapak Bina Jalan Seng Cluster.
In addition to that, Kuala Lumpur recorded the highest number of cases, with 728 cases exceeding Selangor with 710 cases.
Johor has the third highest number with 412 new cases recorded while Sabah recorded a total of 248 new cases as of noon today.
Two new deaths were recorded today bringing the death toll to 451, while 108 cases are being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU), where 50 of them are in need of respiratory aids. ***
