GOMBAK, 16 December 2020: Malaysia today recorded 1,295 new COVID-19 cases with seven deaths, according to the Ministry of Health report.
The bulk of the new cases were in Selangor with 481 cases, followed by Sabah with 268 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 232 new cases, 10 of which were imported cases.
The Klang Valley detailed the newest cases (55 percent) trailed by Sabah (20.7 percent) and Johor (8.1 percent).
Health Director-General, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said the seven deaths bring the casualty rate to 0.49 percent with 429 deaths. He additionally detailed eight new COVID-19 disease bunches.
Meanwhile, it was reported that recovered cases stood at 1,052 bringing the total number of recovery cases to 72,733.***
