Mufti Ismail Menk leads Friday prayer at IIUM

GOMBAK 11 June 2014: More than one thousand men and women gathered at IIUM Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (SHAS) Mosque to attend the obligatory Friday prayer led by a famous Muslim scholar, Mufti Ismail ibn Musa Menk from Zimbabwe today.

In the khutbah which he delivered just before the Friday prayer, Ismail repeatedly addressed the significance of time and urged the audience to utilise their precious time doing beneficial deeds and avoiding sins.

Ismail will be in Malaysia for the entire Ramadhan this year for his ‘Ramadhan with a difference’ lecture series after taraweeh every day in Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, Putrajaya.

Apart from that, Ismail has been delivering Friday sermons in various mosques. More details on his activities in Malaysia this Ramadhan can be found on his official ‘Mufti Ismail Menk Ramadhan 2014 in Malaysia’ Facebook page.

Malaysia has been treating him very well so far as he proclaimed in his official Twitter account, “My first Ramadhan in Malaysia has been a unique experience. I’m loving it so much that I wish the month could be more than 30 days.”
