GOMBAK, 17 November 2020: Malaysia recorded 1,210 new cases including 19 imported cases and five deaths bringing the cumulative total active cases in the country now to 12,788 cases.
Health Director-General, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah reported that the Klang Valley recorded 518 new positive cases.
Meanwhile, Sabah recorded 499 new cases. “19 import cases came from five different citizens and another 14 non-citizens.”
The number of cases being treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) so far was 105 and from that total, 40 cases needed the help of a respirator.
Cases of recovery stood at 1,018 within the last 24 hours, and five new deaths were recorded bringing the total to 318 cases (0.64 per cent of the total cases).***
