COVID-19: 972 new cases reported today, 8 deaths

GOMBAK, 9 November 2020: Malaysia recorded a total of 972 cases including five imported cases as of noon today, making the total cases of 41,181 infected cases, and 11,345 active cases.

Sabah continues to record the highest number of cases, which are 370, 93 from existing clusters and 27 from cluster Nabaha and Numbak (new clusters), 164 from close contact and 86 from other screening. Negeri Sembilan recorded 260 cases, Selangor 138 and Labuan 63 cases, according to Health Director-General, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah.

However, Malaysia’s Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) reported eight death, increasing the total death of 294 today. In total 86 patients are in intensive care and 31 patients still require ventilator support.

Meanwhile “1345 patients recovered and discharged from hospitals today making the total of recovered patients to 29,579,” Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah in a statement today.***
