GOMBAK, 10 June 2020: A webinar aimed to explore the role of media in sending news and information to the public during uncertain times such as the COVID-19 pandemic, will be held on Wednesday (10 June) at 3 p.m through Youtube and Facebook Live.
With the title “The Role of Media in Global Pandemic: How the media is changing the way you think”, this webinar is brought by SEGi Group of Colleges, Malaysia.
The webinar will feature Assistant Professor Dr. Wan Norshira Binti Wan Mohd Ghazali from International Islamic University Malaysia and Natasha Charmaine Rickson, an actress, TV host and a radio presenter, as speakers.
As the media is the key platform in countering “dangerous outbreak of misinformation”, the speakers are expected to touch on how public figures can shape public perception on the coronavirus pandemic and help to convince the public into accepting and adapting to the new normal.
