GOMBAK, 7 December 2019: Done with the latest IIUMtv show, “Political Insights” Season 1.
The last episode was successfully streamed live on IIUMtv Youtube Channel on Wednesday (4 December) from 8.00 p.m until 10.00 p.m on the topic “Undocumented Future of Child Poverty” featuring special guest, Puan Siti Rahayu Baharin, a teacher and activist.
Despite being the newest show on IIUMtv, Mohd Ammar Zikry bin Mohd Senu, founder and producer of the show mentioned that he and his crew had to go through some hurdles in making the show work.
Despite it all they still managed to finish their first season running for five episodes without fail.
“We started our show later than we should due to some problems that we could not avoid but I am proud that my team was able to catch up and adapt very quickly to do their respective tasks, such as editing of the posters and videos, as well as handling the IIUMtv equipment,” he said.
They managed to execute five episodes covering thought provoking topics such as “Public Policy Awareness”, “Being A Malaysian”, “The Role of The Muslim Youth in Encountering Islamophobia” and “Understanding Hong Kong Protest”.
Asked about him and his team’s experience working in IIUMtv, Ammar mentioned that he and his team felt very welcomed by the rest of the IIUMtv crew and the management especially the director, Sarah Qistina binti Mohd Nizam.
“Political Insights” is a collaborative project between the Secretariat of Political Science (POSSA) from Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS) and IIUMtv.
He said that he is looking forward to be collaborating with IIUMtv for another season of “Political Insights” and hopes that this programme will be able to bring more interesting content in the future.***
