GOMBAK, 30 November 2019: “Communication Appreciation Night” is back and this time it will be organised by IIUM.fm and will be held on Friday, 13 December, at Wadi Budi Multipurpose Hall.
This year the event will bring forward the “Melayu Nusantara” theme. While honouring the achievement of students of Communication Department, the event was also intended to promote the culture of Melayu Nusantara.
In an interview with IIUMToday, the programme manager, Aimi Athirah bt Roslan said that the event is held to appreciate not just Communication students but also hardworking lecturers.
“Another objective of the event is to cultivate empathy, unity, a sense of self-belonging and the spirit of ukhuwwah amongst Communication students,” said Aimi, adding that the event “can promote the spirit of collaboration and cooperation among committee members and other members of the Department. “
She added, “I hope this event will receive full support and encouragement from all societies aside to accomplish our objectives.”
