KUALA LUMPUR, 28 November 2019: IIUM Mustangs PUBG won approximately RM8,000 in total for their success in achieving second place overall for Grand Finale Celcom XPAX Campus E-Sports Championship last weekend (23-24 November).
Organised by Media Prima Digital, My Game On and KITAMEN, the winners ranging from first to final year students competed against 40 other institutions at The Curve, Mutiara Damansara.
Asked on the preparation of the team, Nurul Syahirah said, “We trained together every weekend to improve our chemistry and roles in playing together.”
IIUM Mustangs E-Sports also sent out Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) players from Kuantan campus who managed to succeed in the grouping stage of the Grand Finale.
“We did not expect this success,” Syahirah added. “We only tried our luck and Alhamdulillah, we won second place overall.”
IIUM Mustangs E-Sports will also be competing in Majlis Sukan Universiti Malaysia (MASUM) 2019 next month for Pro Evolution Soccer (PES), DOTA, and MLBB.***
