GOMBAK, 26 November 2019: Communication Best Student Raudhatul Jannah binti Mohd Rozli described her past six years were filled with enduring hardship and real challenges, having to manage time in between commitments to studies, attending to family business and societies/club, and leading a student representative council as Vice President 1.
However, deep in her heart she believed in the statement that “every difficulty should come with ease”.
Raudhatul was among the recipients of the best award honoured at the the Convocation Award Ceremony 2019, Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS) yesterday (25 November).
“Strong determination came when I realised that hardship faced was not only for myself but for my parents (especially), family members, lecturers, friends, kulliyyah and the university as a whole,” Raudhatul said.
Throughout her study period, Raudhatul recalled that students were always tested with disappointments which undeniably not favoured by many, however, she said that “we need to get up quickly to solve the problems that cropped up.”
She cited three steps in dealing with hardship – to be close to Allah, to reach out to family members purposely to seek strength, and getting along with friends.
“Students can also heal their disappointments by practising spiritual activities like reading and understanding the contents of Quran and attending beneficial programmes that may purify the core of a whole body, that is the heart,” Raudhatul said.
She advised to despair not in handling conflicts, especially during the study period, as indeed Allah has convinced all humankind in a book that will be protected until The Day of Judgment— “every difficulty should come with ease” (Ash Syarh: 5-6).
“Success is always a process, never an event. Failure is always an event, never a person. Do not be afraid of committing mistakes as they are meant to be made, but be afraid of the actions come after the mistakes that have done as that will show who you are,” Raudhatul further said.
The 2019 Convocation Award Ceremony for Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS) was held at Banquet Hall, Muhammad Abdul-Rauf Building yesterday in appreciation of the best students in the kulliyyah.***
