I-Congrats’ 19 in conjunction with IIUM 35th Convo

GOMBAK, 22 November 2019: Convocation fiesta is back with I-Congrats or IIUM Convocation Grand Festival 2019 which replaces i-Fiesta and Stanex, which is held on Thursday (21 Nov) until Thursday (28 Nov)

I-Congrats’ 19 is a festival held in conjunction with IIUM 35th Convocation Ceremony 2019.  

With the trademark “We’ve only just begun”, I-Congrats’19 refreshes the previous convocation festival by presenting more exciting activities and sub-events to celebrate IIUM convocation week.

This year, the event is organised by Entrepreneurship Club under the Entrepreneurship Development Centre of IIUM together with Student Representative Council, IIUM. 

Throughout the event, there will be food stalls and vendors opening up business and there are also other sub-events ranging from forum, talk, theatre, and humanity night featuring famous celebrities.

Under I-Congrats’ 19, seven sub-programmes will be conducted as follows:

  • Opening and Grand Forum entitled “Challenges of Young Graduates” by Shahir Sulaiman, an IIUM Alumni, and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Setiawangsa Member of Parliament. The ceremony will be held at Main Auditorium IIUM, from 8pm until 11pm. It is open to public and there is also a special performance by IIUM Andeka Caklempong and IIUM Nasyeed. 
  • I-CONS or Intellectual and International Convention Symposium which encompasses three slots will be held on 22 November from 8.30 am until 10.30 pm. It aims to enlighten the audiences on important aspects of religion, economy and financial literacies.
  • Community Service or Rewang, with the theme of “Spread the Love”, will be held at Rumah Perak, KAED from 8 am to 2 pm. Cooking and food distributions are some of the activities and there will be an engagement with Rohingya children from Darul Eslah Rohingya Academy.
  • i-Theater, in collaboration with Notorious Playhouse Production entitled “Teater 100 Hari”, will be held at Main Auditorium IIUM, at 8.30 pm. The entrance fee is RM8 for IIUM students and RM10 for public.


  • I-Bazar, consists of food trucks and stalls, will be held around Mosque Business Compound and EDU Parking Lot, from 8.30 am to 8.30 pm.
  • i-Carnival, consisting of astonishing and exciting activities such as games, robotic exhibitions, and food vendors. This programme will be held at EDU Foyer, Kulliyyah of Education, from 8.00 am until 8.pm. 
  • Humanity Night, also the closing ceremony of i-Congrats’19, will be held at IIUM Cultural Centre on 7.30 pm, featuring special performances by famous celebrities like UNIC, Ruffedge, and MK-Clique.
