GOMBAK, 17 November 2019: Kshatriya Production is back with their latest work called ‘HAYATIE’, an adaptation of HAMKA’s popular novel ˜Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck’.

Assistant Programme Manager, Fakkruddin Hasani, expects many spectators to come together as œHAYATIE will bring something new and fresh which has never been done by any other production in IIUM.

‘HAYATIE’ is a collaboration between Kshatriya Production and PERKIM Secretariat, IIUM. Kshatriya Production had in the past successfully performed a theatre called ‘Teroesir’ in 2018.

The ‘HAYATIE’ theatre will be staged on 19 and 20 November at Main Auditorium, IIUM at 8.30 p.m.

Aimed to sell 1,000 tickets for the two-day theatre, the ticket sales have begun from 15 November. Tickets are also available for walk-in audience while tickets last.

Part of the sales revenue from this theatre will be given to PERKIM for their missionary activity.

The objective of staging this theatre is to introduce HAMKA’s great works to the IIUM community as well as to retell the work while incorporating elements of Islamic preaching, in line with PERKIM’s objective to preach to the homeless.

As stated by the Assistant Programme Manager, people should come and watch HAYATIE because Kshatriya Production highlights the adoption of HAMKA’s novels and other noble works which differ them from other production houses in IIUM.

Members of the public can follow them on social media platform Instagram, via #HAYATIE2019 or @kshatriya.production.***
