GOMBAK, 9 November 2019: The most awaited annual event “IIUM Sports Carnival” will be held from 10 to 19 November.
The ten-day sports programme involves all athletes of 18 Mahallah from IIUM Gombak and Pagoh campus.
Organised by Council of Principals (COPs) in collaboration with IIUM Sports Development Centre (SDC), the carnival holds the theme “Togetherness Towards Sporting Excellence”.
The event’s programme manager, Amir Nadzim bin Kaharudin said, “I hope this programme can encourage the integration between local and international students.
We are also looking forward for the students to participate in Mahallah Programme especially in sports event. The success of this programme is not to see who the winner is, but to have the students enjoy it as much as they can.”
All matches will be held within IIUM Gombak campus at both male and female sports complex.
Among the games that are going to be contested are football, netball, handball, badminton, athletics, table tennis, basketball, futsal, volleyball, touch rugby, dodgeball, petangue, sepak takraw and water polo.
