GOMBAK 11 June: “Socio-Digital Transformation for the Ummah”, that is the theme for the International Research, Invention and Innovation Exhibition 2014 or IRIIE 2014 held at the Cultural Activity Centre (CAC) for two days from 11 to 12 June, 2014. The event is expected to transform society through knowledge and innovations.
Organised by the Kulliyyah of Information and Communication Technology (KICT), IRIIE 2014 is one of the major events this year.
The event is held with the objective to provide an opportunity for international researchers to interact and exchange ideas, to offer a platform to exhibit research output at global level, and to promote international collaborative research. It is also aimed to expose research products to potential investors and industry partners.
IIUM Rector, Professor Dato’ Sri Dr. Zaleha Kamaruddin officiated the opening of the event on 11 June 2014. The public would have the opportunity to see the research exhibition on 12 June.
With the total number of 576 participation from various categories, IRIIE 2014 offers an exciting international platform to showcase these noble efforts, at the same time seeks to unlock the commercial potential of the research products.
