GOMBAK, 28 September 2019 – The culture and motto that has been instilled within the AirAsia Berhad community members is the belief that nobody remembers second best.

This culture of belief has built the said airline empire to reign over South-East Asian skies.

Executive Chairman, Datuk Kamaruddin Meranun, emphasised that even young entrepreneurs who are interested in promoting their products under AirAsia Berhad should have the confidence to only give their best efforts at everything they do.

“To believe that you can be the best and only the best, is the best thing you can believe for yourself in this industry,” he said in a forum titled Entrepreneurship: An Essential to Thrive in the 21st Century at the Global Entrepreneurship Symposium held at the IIUM Cultural Centre (ICC) on Tuesday (24 September).

Briefly, Datuk Kamaruddin also mentioned that being not only an entrepreneur, but also a successful person, requires the effort to turn challenges into opportunities, and to recognise the uniqueness and beauty of being able to do so.

Other panellists of the forum were Chairman of MARA Corporation, Akhramsyah Muammar Ubaidah Sanusi and Chairman of Malaysian Association of ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs, Syed Nabil Aljeffri. The symposium was moderated by Monsta Asia’s Chief Operating Officer and Head of Community, Tan Siok Zhao.

The forum aimed to expose students to influential and successful entrepreneurs and assist youth in identifying their areas of interest. At the end of the forum, free AirAsia tickets were also given away to lucky IIUM community members and the general public. ***
