GOMBAK, 23 July 2019: Monday (22 July) marked the opening of Takrim Day 2019 (previously known as Liqa’ Al-Jamai’ or Quality Day). It is an annual event for both the academic and non-academic staff to be acknowledged for their contributions to the university.
It is participated by every Kulliyyah in the university including the Kulliyyah in Pagoh as well as Kuantan campuses. Selected services are also participating in the event.
In conjunction with Takrim Day, an exhibition by all kulliyyahs and selected services are being held here starting from 22 until 24 July from 9 a.m until 4.00 p.m
More than 20 booths are located in the Banquet Hall, IIUM Cultural Centre (ICC). Among them are IRKHS booth, IIUM Medical Centre booth, Jungle School booth and Special Education booth.
Traditional Malay dances, Tarian Tradisi and Tarian Sewang, were the highlights of the day as they were performed by students from special education school (Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Taman Tasik). At the same time, the students were also selling some handmade products like pencil case and neck pillow at their booth.
A reflexology session by special needs students is also open to the public.
IIUM community including the students are welcomed to visit the booth and to give support to their respective kulliyyah. ***
