GOMBAK, 5 May 2019 – Popular religious figure, Habib Ali Zaenal Abidin Al-Hamid, was the guest of honour at the Daurah ‘Ihya Ramadhan sharing his knowledge on fasting at the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (SHAS) Mosque on Saturday (4 May).
The event which started at 8 a.m and ended at 1 p.m was attended by about 300 participants from both the campus community and the public.
Habib Ali Zaenal Abidin used the book “Safinat Al-Naja” to specifically discuss the fasting chapter. The discussion was divided into two sessions.
Daurah ‘Ihya Ramadhan was organised by ISRAK in collaboration with I-Masjid and Majlis Ta’lim An-Nur (MATAN) with the main objective to ascertain the community proper way to fast.
The event’s programme manager, Ahmed Amirul Ashraf said that he did not expect so many participants at this event. He was very happy with the response from the community.
Ahmed Amirul also expressed the hope that other organisations will conduct similar event to enliven the month of Ramadan.***
