Life Makers Malaysia launches Ramadan Aid 4.0

GOMBAK, 1 May 2019 – Life Makers Malaysia is organising a fundraising campaign from 12 April until 15 May to collect donations in aid of the refugees during the Holy month of Ramadan to provide essential packages for those in need.

With the theme “Relieving refugees in Ramadan” the programme aims to create awareness on the dire situation that refugees face as well as to perform the Islamic duty of unity while giving a helping hand.

Donations will be collected from around IIUM campus, at large mosques in Kuala Lumpur, in addition to collection from bank account where people who want to donate could do so through bank transfer.

The first Ramadan aid was conducted in 2015 and for two consecutive years they were able to collect around USD12,000 each time. According to its programme manager, Abdul Ghani, Life Makers Malaysia is hoping to collect at least RM25,000 this time.***
