GOMBAK, 26 November 2018 : A total of 70 kids from Akademi Fateh Hakim and Rumah Asnaf Al-fatih joined the Kids Quran Hour which was organised by Jamiyyatu Khadamatil Quran (JKQ) club at Collesium, IIUM yesterday (25 November).
According to the Programme Manager, Izzah Atira bt Samsu Hazlam, JKQ has been doing the service of teaching Quran and Iqra for about four years now and this is not their first time.
She said for the last eight semesters JKQ has been teaching Quran and Iqra to the kids in Program Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) Kg. Kolam Air Panas and Rumah Asnaf Al-Fateh and the programme was known as Q-ICE because at the end of the programme the kids would get ice cream each.
“We went there once a week,” she added.
As for Akademi Fateh Hakim this event was their first time and they hope for more collaboration with IIUM in the future.
Kids Quran Hour was organised in conjunction with Quranic Week, an annual event conducted by JKQ club since 2016.***
