GOMBAK, 22 October 2018: “I don’t have anything to say because there were no flaws in your performance.”  This was the comment made by one of the judges of Pentas Dakwah 3.0 to the winner of the programme.

Ustaz Safwan Syafiq, a well-known motivator, made this remarks on Syed Ibrahim Syed Ishak after he delivered his performance as a finalist of Pentas Dakwah 3.0 on the topic “Berfikir Sebelum Bertindak” at Moot Court, Ahmad Ibrahim Kuliyyah of Laws, on Friday (19 October) night.

Syed Ibrahim is a student of the Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS).

To support his point on the issue of business dishonesty which he picked, Syed Ibrahim recited a verse from Surah An-Nisaa.

“O you who have believed, do not consume one another’s wealth unjustly but only [in lawful] business by mutual consent. And do not kill yourselves [or one another]. Indeed, Allah is to you ever Merciful.”

Syed Ibrahim said: “Rasulullah SAW once stated in his hadith that he hated liars.”

“Where do we go, later, on the Day of Judgement, if Rasulullah himself would not want to see us?” He asked.

“These are the kinds of people we would not want to be part of our society. They sell things without having the intention to help other people.”

He also mentioned about those people who still purchased products that are not recognised by the Ministry of Health.

“Many people still prefer other alternatives to treat their illness compared to the scientific medical approaches,” he added.

Commenting on Syed Ibrahim’s performance, another judge, Ustaz Amin Idris, who is also a TV AlHijrah personality, said: “In doing dakwah, we must be brave to advise the society.”

Within the theme of “Arts in Dakwah”, Pentas Dakwah 3.0 aimed to boost confidence and creativity among the students in spreading dakwah, according to programme manager, Mohamad Asyraf Azwani.

IIUM engineering student, Amir Huzaifah Rashdi scored second place, while Batrisya Norhamizi from KIRKHS was named the second runner-up. ***
