GOMBAK, 27 September 2018: A talk on “Allah Mengajar Kita Terrorism?” by Da’i Wan held at Mini Auditorium on Monday (24 September) marked the countdown for Cekak Hanafi Festival 3.0.
With the theme ‘Expanding Horizon, Enhancing Vision’, the festival is aimed at creating Al-Fateh future legacy through events such as silat demonstration, Heroes Run and book review from 24 until 29 September.
“I would say Cekak Hanafi Festival 3.0 is intended to develop future ‘Al-Fateh’ as Cekak Hanafi IIUM and to encourage members to become leaders of every event that we organise to serve IIUM,” said its programme manager, Nurul Khafzan Naziha Zulkifli from Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge Human Sciences.
As one of the active clubs under Sports Development Centre (SDC), the programmes will also focus on awareness towards crimes and to enhance students’ self-confidence.
According to Kafzan, this festival is one of the biggest annual events which promises “to introduce Silat Cekak Hanafi as one of the martial arts in IIUM besides encouraging students to find their own income”.
