RM30,000 needed by “Malaysia Still Cares” in aid of Syrian refugees

GOMBAK, 23 September 2018: A group of IIUM youth activists are seeking for donations prior to their first humanitarian mission to Gaziantep, Turkey this coming 25 October until 1 November.

The “Malaysia Still Cares” team is set to fly in aid of the refugees but they are still lacking around RM30,000 in funds which they aim to collect from individuals in campus within a span of seven more weeks.

This humanitarian mission for Syrian refugees is under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports with the collaboration of NGOs in both Malaysia and Turkey, Malaysia Life Line for Syria and Bonyan Organisation.

Throughout the entire mission, a total of five refugee camps will be visited by the youth to provide knowledge on personal hygiene besides building strong ukhwah with the locals.

To encourage the involvement of youth on current global issues, they are humbly requesting for the youth to spread words around regarding this initiative in the hope of getting more donations.
