GOMBAK, 10 August 2018: Coffee lovers will now have another choice where to have their beverages. A new café known as “IIUM Nescafe hub” has been operating in campus since early July.
Located next to the Grill café, the Nescafe hub opens from Monday until Friday from 8.30 a.m to 6.00 p.m. It provides hot and cold coffee with variable tastes. It also has a plan to sell foods during the next long semester.
The café was established under Nescafe following the business challenge competition between 12 universities around Malaysia. The challenge was based on targeted selling and invention of a new recipe.
Nur Dini Mazdi, who was the Marketing Planner of IIUM Nescafe hub, said: “We need support from IIUM community to enliven our Nescafe stall by buying our products. We expect to sell 5,000 cups in a month.”
The café offers student price, starting from RM2 for a regular cup, RM3 for frape, and RM5 for a special recipe. Currently, the café has three different special menus: caramel Kit-Kat latte, mocha banana smoothie, and hazelnut berry.
Apart from offering coffee at affordable prices, the Nescafe hub offers delivery services for the office and management staff with additional RM2 charged for delivery services, with minimum order of six cups.
There will be a number of promotions to be held for the next semester, especially on the first week of the long semester.
