GOMBAK, 20 July 2018: “Gabungan Pelajar Melayu Semenanjung Malaysia” (GPMS) is looking for donation in aid of the Syrian refugees in Gaziantep, Turkey.
Recently, the world’s attention has been focused on the Syrian asylum seekers who fled to Turkey due to the war that left the country devastated.
The GPMS which consists of volunteers from different institutions and universities is calling on Malaysians to help them in terms of cash. Its programme manager, Fauzi Acho, said an amount of RM80, 000 has been targeted as a whole before the team departs for Gaziantep, Turkey on 25 October. The team is expected to be in Turkey until 1 November.
Among the items that will be delivered to the refugees include miscellary items (RM10), stationery (RM20), hygiene kit (RM50), and blanket (RM100).
