GOMBAK, 12 July 2018: The Department of Communication held a Hari Raya Aidil Fitri gathering on Wednesday (11 July) at the Kulliyyah lounge that saw the presence of not only its lecturers, staff and students, but also the Dean of KIRHS, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abdul Quayum and the Deputy Dean (Student Affairs), Dr. Muhd Fuzi Omar.
Others who attended the gathering were lecturers from other departments within the Kulliyyah. This year’s Raya gathering called “Malaysian Aidil Fitri Open House”, was to show appreciation of the Department on the support it had received from various parties. Also in attendance at the event was retired senior professor of the Department, Prof. Dr. Mohd. Yusof Hussain.
The Head of Department of Communication, Dr. Aini Maznina said that this event was held as a token of appreciation for the support given by the Kulliyyah’s management and administrative staff who have helped the Department’s members in accomplishing their tasks.
She told IIUMToday that this year’s celebration is quite special as it was held right after the two-day MQA Communication audit exercise by an external party.
“This Raya gathering is treated as a celebration for all members of the Department after we successfully went through an important moment during the auditing process.” she added. ***
