GOMBAK, 19 April 2018 – A programme called “Program Bimbingan Usahawan Tijari (i-Taajir)” will be held starting this Saturday (21 April), specifically designed for staff and students of IIUM Gombak as well as residents of Rumah Transit Sungai Kertas, to equip them with knowledge and skills of entrepreneurship.
Organised by the Centre for Islamic Economic (CIE) in collaboration with CIMB Islamic (CIMBi) and the Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences (KENMS), the programme is also intended to improve the quality of livelihood of the Gombak community through entrepreneurship and micro-finance facility.
There will be a few phases of programme which include Motivation and Launching, to be held at Dewan Komuniti Sungai Kertas, from 9.00 a.m until 1.30 p.m on 21 April.
Around 250 participants are expected to join the Motivation and Education phase which ends on 5 May.
There will be groups and teams from IIUM to help out with the programme. Among them will be three researchers from CIE and the Department of Economics, KENMS, and approximately 90 student volunteers.
