GOMBAK, 5 April 2018: The Centre for International Islamic Culture (CiTRA) is calling all IIUM community and outsiders to take part as audience at Schelm String Quartet Concert, brought exclusively from Tokyo, which will be held on Friday (6 April) from 9.00 p.m until 11.00 p.m at Main Auditorium, IIUM.
The grand show is intended to share each other’s experience and enhance relationship between CiTRA and Schelm String Quartet.
Director of Quartet’s International Exchange Programme, Kyoko Matsunoki said, œIm sure this will be a great opportunity for exchanges between your university and our group comprising an excellent professor and young talented international musicians.
He added, œThis is a non-profit programme and we will not charge any fee for this concert.
Among the artistes who have been invited to perform at this concert are violinist Takuto Matsuniko, violinist Kaito Ikeda, and Sakura Peatey Tashiro as the cellist.
The highlight of this event will be involvement of high level musicians and a great educator, Professor Masayuki Kino, who is the solo concert master of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra.
