GOMBAK, 8 November 2017: A flash mob promoting the IIUM-Nama Convocation Festival 2017 (Convest ’17) was held yesterday (7 November) during lunch hour to highlight interesting programmes that will be conducted for the Convest ’17, taking place from 9 to 20 November.
The Head of Public Relations for Convest ’17, Nur Fathihah Mohamad Ghani, who led the flash mob, said that the event will include holistic programmes, apart from entertainments.
“On the night of the closing ceremony, we will invite artists such as Heliza Helmi, Aizat Hamdan and Irfan Harris. The proceeds from this event will be channelled to the Rohingya community,” she added.
The programmes brought by this year’s Convest are Convest Bazaar, Flare 17, and Forum Pemuda & Al-Quran, among others.
Convest’17 is one of the annual major events in IIUM held in conjunction with the Convocation ceremony. This year, Convest ’17 is held in collaboration with IIUM uniform bodies, namely ROTU Army, ROTU Air Force, SUKSIS and SISPA. It will kick off on 9 November at Saidina Hamzah Stadium.
Members of the IIUM community as well as the public are invited to join. ***
