KUALA LUMPUR, 3 October 2017: ASTRO Radio yesterday launched Zayan FM, a new brand that serves modern Muslim content comprising fashion, technology, entertainment and current lifestyle.
Zayan FM Content Manager, Wan Syahrul Amry Wan Mansor said that the fourth Malay language radio station by ASTRO Radio will provide a new alternative to listeners who seek positive content while going about their daily life. Earlier on 21 September, the radio network company made the announcement in its Majlis Kesyukuran & Doa Selamat held at ASTRO Bukit Jalil and the station has since started broadcasting yesterday (2 October).
Among the segments in Zayan FM are “Salam Bros”, “#ZOTD”, “Zayan Valet”, “Zayan Fikir (Z-kir)” and “Zayan Cafe”. Music playlists offered by the new radio station comprised of local and international choices that spread positive messages. The line of radio announcers is famous young influencers like DJ Mawi, DJ Anas, DJ Lin Ariffin, DJ Raqib and DJ Falyq.
The radio station also provides a platform where listeners can interact with the announcers through Whatsapp app, which makes sharing opinions and views a lot easier. Zayan FM can be streamed at zayan.my, through their social media, and is available on the radio in Klang Valley (104.9FM), Alor Star (98.1FM), Ipoh (106.4FM), Malacca (98.9FM), Johor Bahru (92.8FM), and Kuantan (91.6FM). Listeners can also tune in to Zayan by downloading its mobile app, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store soon.
“The new station is targeting students and young professionals as well as modern listeners who are active in discovering the world and sharing their experiences,” Wan Syahrul said.***
