A Muslim World Recognition for Prof. Zaleha

GOMBAK, 21 September 2017 – IIUM Rector, Professor Dato’ Sri Dr. Zaleha Kamarudin, was among five Malaysian women who received World Muslim Rania Awards at the 8th Muslim World Biz Exhibition and Conference held at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) last night (20 September).

Wife of Prime Minister Datuk Sri Najib Tun Razak, Datin Sri Rosmah Mansor presented the award to the winners.

According to New Straits Times, the award received by Dato’ Sri Dr. Zaleha and other Malaysian women was in recognition of women from Muslim world in business and leadership achievement.

Other than that, the vision of this award is to give recognition and appreciation of the rights of all women around the world by portraying outstanding women in the Muslim world.

This is not the first time Dato’ Sri Dr. Zaleha received international recognition for her achievement. Among other awards she had received were The Golden Globe Tigers Award from Asian Confederation of Businesses in 2015 and 2016 respectively, and Life Time Achievement Award from Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakif Univerity of Turkey .***
