Communication Student Channel a platform for students to gain experience

GOMBAK, 9 March 2017:  Any idea what is Communication Student Channel (CSC)? Have you heard about it?

It is a platform provided for students to gain experiences and skills before entering the real industry, according to Head of CSC, Azid Azidee Latif.

The CSC makes a difference from other organisations in International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) such as IIUM.fm and IIUMToday as it concentrates more on television programmes like entertainment, educational and information.

œBasically, every student from any Kulliyyah could be involved in this channel, yet we give priority to Communication students because this is a platform for them to enhance their skills and to gain knowledge and experiences before joining the media industry, Azid said.

CSC will be fully run by the students as it sells products of students’ works for competition and production. It will be made as one of the ways for them to support the cost of basic facilities and special equipment.

The CSC is not officially established, but for more information about CSC, readers can check their websites at commstudentschannel.weebly.com.

œAs for today, we are in a pre-production stage, where we are looking for a host, producers, crew and technical team, but Insya Allah, this channel will be running after the mid-semester break, said Azid.

The first audition was already carried out and they managed to get 23 servers and many crew members and producers for their groove. However, they have to go through a second phase of audition before joining the team.

Those interested to join CSC are invited to attend the audition on Friday 10 March 2017, according to Azid. ***
