SELAYANG, 14 February 2017 -Â One of the IIUM students who was involved in road accident last Monday (13 February) was in a better condition after he went for surgical operation at Selayang Hospital.
A short visit to the hospital by IIUMToday with representatives of IIUM Students’ Representative Council (SRC) to see the victim had shown that he is in a much better condition but still under observation from the hospital.
The victim, Rhiezan Bin Ali, from Kulliyyah of Economic and Management Sciences  said, “The doctor already had done their best to perform surgical operation on my left leg that had very serious injury and the doctor asked me to take a rest and I will have to do a follow-up after this to ensure there’s no infection on my injuries”.
Meanwhile, an attempt was made to reach his family, however, it is understood that his family has not yet arrived from Sabah but had been informed of this accident. For now Rhiezan had been taken care of by his friends from the campus.
Persatuan Anak-Anak Sabah  and the Reserve Officer Training Unit IIUM (ROTU IIUM) has launched a flash donation to help the victim.
Last Monday, an accident happened in front of Mahallah Siddiq. In that incident, the victim who was riding a motorcycle lost his balance and hit a car that came from the opposite direction, and this had caused him to suffer severe injuries on his left leg.***
