Youth are often described as a backbone to the nation. Youth can actually change the future for a better if they have encouragement and are well behaved.
Young people are often considered to represent the future as they bring new ideas and energy to add to the pool of knowledge that currently exists. An article in UK Essay stated that œeach age group in society has its own role and this is important in many different ways”.
Youth as a description of a sector of society has many definitions depending on the perspective being used. Every age has its responsibility towards society or human beings around them. They must know their roles in society so that they are aware of what is happening currently and be able to predict the future.
In addition, youth must use their energy and skills in terms of giving back to the community. We are all aware that most of the youth do not have specific income or salary especially for those who do not have a job or are not yet employed. Hence, the least they can do is to contribute something towards the people around them.
Prof. Vinod Kumar in his article ‘Responsibility of youth’ said, œYouth can improve the community and culture of society. If youth understands his responsibility, a large number of crime may reduce within one day.
On the other hand, youth must prevent themselves from getting into harmful situation, for example, social problems in order to ensure that the nation will be better in the future.
œWe must get control of this. We must motivate our youth. We must teach responsibility and goal setting. I fear if we do not, we will soon be supporting an entire generation of homeless and needlessly on welfare families. Things have to change, with our schools, with the older generation being good role models, with the older generation being mentors, and with the youth who are right now doing nothing, Usman Saeed said in his article ‘The role of youth’. ***
