GOMBAK, 28 September 2016: IIUM Security has not received any report so far regarding the news on the rape case that has been circulating in campus tonight.
“No report has been made until now. We urge anyone who has information to give us the details as soon as possible especially about the victim. If we can track the taxi number it would be better,” said security management of IIUM Gombak, Mohd Zubairi bin Abdul Aziz
Since the issue could not be ascertained yet the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) has advised all students to always be cautious especially for female students.
“It is advised that all students especially for sisters to return back to campus at the appointed time. It is important to bring along your matric card if you are planning to go out from campus. It may help people to recognise you. Please avoid going out from the campus alone especially at night,” said SRC Vice President, Siti Sabarina Mashudi.
Students have been reminded not to spread any rumour that can further drag the issue.***
