GOMBAK, 21 April 2016: Do you want to know more about Prophet Muhammad SAW? This is your chance. Al-Aqsa Society in collaboration with the Ummah Learning Institute and World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) will be carrying out an event called Seerah Weekend: Delving into the life of Prophet Muhammad SAW, it is a three-day talk programme starting from 29 April until 1 May 2016.
Programme Manager of Seerah Weekend, Intan Quraisha said, ” The main purpose is to increase love towards Prophet Muhammad SAW and how are we going to do that? Of course by getting to know him. There’s an idiom in Malay, kalau tak kenal, maka tak cinta and in Arabic, whoever knew only then he can feel. Basically, only by knowing Prophet Muhammad SAW in detail, will increase our love more towards him.”
They are inviting Mahad Qamar as the guest speaker, a graduate of Nouman Ali Khan’s Dream Programme who is currently studying at the Kuliyyah of IRKKS, specialising in Usul Fiqh. He is also known as the lecturer of Weekly Halaqah: Qur’an & Youth organised by Al-Aqsa Society held every Sunday.
This programme will begin on 29 April 2016 (Friday) from 8.00 p.m until 10.00 p.m at ECONS LT1 and proceed on 30 April and 1 May of 2016 (Saturday & Sunday) from 10.30 a.m until 2.00 p.m at ADM LT3. There will be a big announcement for everyone. Different aspects of Prophet Muhammad’s life will be covered along the event.
She added,”The programme is free. No charge. It is open to public because love towards Prophet Muhammad should not be constrained or restrained to any group. People who doesn’t have any plan on weekend could bring their family together. InsyaAllah, for 3 days we can spend towards remembering our Prophet Muhammad SAW.”
