GOMBAK, 11 April 2016: A group of IIUM students, in collaboration with Life Makers Malaysia and Awtad Charity Organisation, Uganda, has initiated a project to build two boreholes in Jinja, Uganda on behalf of Eslam Al-Deeb and Ahmed Bello who passed away two months ago.
The collection of donations will be held throughout April within the university. The amount required to build the boreholes is 4,400 US Dollars which is equivalent to RM 18,295.
Two booths will be set up every Tuesday to Friday for the collection of donations. Details are as follow:

Eslam Al-Deeb, a 19-year old Egyptian professional boxer residing in Malaysia and Ahmed Bello, a 20-year old Guinean student at International Islamic College died in a car crash in Kuala Lumpur on Friday, 5Â February 2016.
The involvement of building boreholes in Uganda is considered an ongoing charity (Sadakah Jariyah) in Islam whereby donators will constantly gain rewards for as long as the well continues to benefit the people, with the will of God.
