GOMBAK, 5 Mac 2016: Damage to the main electrical substation had caused power outage in IIUM campus here today.
Student Representative Council (SRC) for Welfare, Abdullah Muhammad said, “We have contacted Daya Bersih and relief efforts are underway. If the damage is not severe, then the situation would return to normal by this afternoon.
“However, if it still prevails, the problem will probably continue until this evening,” he added.
The incident happened around 5:15 this morning which affected almost all the buildings, including mahallah in this university.
“I hope students can keep calm as the situation would return to normal. The authorities are trying their best to solve this problem.”
Most buildings and mahallah have returned to normal since this afternoon.***
