Short film ‘Bukan Malaikat 2: Sarah’ draws attention

GOMBAK, 15 November 2016: From the production of Film and Creative Production Club (FCPC), a short film, ‘Bukan Malaikat’ once again was screened but this time with its sequel, titled, ‘Bukan Malaikat 2: Sarah’. The movie screening was held on 14 November 2016 from 8.30 p.m until 10 p.m at Mini Auditorium with free entry.

“I feel so relieved and happy because tonight’s event went well and it has been finally showcased to the people after three to four months been prepared for this although we’re still waiting for the audiences’ feedbacks,” said Noor Helmie Mohd Yusoh, the director of the short film after being interviewed last night.

He also expressed the hope that it would be his pleasure to continue the sequel, at the same time confirmed that there will be more upcoming short films from the club itself in the future.

In addition, the audiences who came to watch the film also gave positive and encouraging feedbacks.

“It’s a good short film that we rarely watch in IIUM and it is a good effort by FCPC to produce such short film and they should continue to do that. Besides, I think the storyline was good, its cinematography was really stunning and outstanding,” said Fakhrullah Zulkifli, one of the audiences interviewed.

FCPC is a production club under the managerial of Centre for International Islamic Culture (CiTRA-IIUM). The club has produced a few short films for the past few years and has already competed in some short film competitions.

Its founder, Rowin Berahim, an IIUM alumni, said, “I really enjoyed tonight’s short film, the cinematography, and its camerawork, and I feel very proud with current tenure and management as they have brought this club to the next standard level.” As a producer of his own company, he also has plans to this club to collaborate with companies outside this university in order to expand the talents.

An estimated one hundred audiences attended the screening of the film to enjoy the sequel.***
