SRC polls scheduled on 22 September

GOMBAK, 18 September 2016: IIUM students would go to the polls on 22 September to elect their representatives to the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) for the 2016/2017 session, as endorsed by the Student Affairs Committee (SAC) meeting No. 2/2016.

The election process gives the opportunity for students to exercise their democratic rights to choose their representatives who will speak and act on their behalf. As someone who live in a democratic state, it is wise to take this opportunity to understand the concept of democracy.

Voting eligibility will be checked during the electoral registration compiled by the University. For this purpose, a voter must prove his or her identity with a student card or an identity card with a photograph and a matric card number.

Those who failed to provide the requested validation will not be eligible to vote. Casting of votes for the 23 seats contested for all Kulliyyah will be held between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm at the respective Kulliyyah.***
